Soprano Jacqueline Smith has appeared with many orchestras and oratorio societies throughout the Philadelphia area and in New Jersey. An active recitalist, Ms. Smith has most recently performed lieder recitals with baritone Lawrence Indik and pianist Marvin Keenze at the German Society of Pennsylvania on the Wister and More series. She is a member of the Medieval/Renaissance ensemble Quidditas and Fairmount Baroque, and frequently performs in recitals of new music. She holds the M.Mus. degree in vocal performance from Temple University where she studied with Florence Berggren. She was also a student of the late Martin Rich, longtime Associate Conductor at the Metropolitan Opera. Her undergraduate degrees are from Philadelphia Biblical University where she was a church music major with a major in voice and a minor in organ.

Ms. Smith has been a fellow at the Bach Aria Festival in Stony Brook, and has attended the Bach Sommerakademie with Helmuth Rilling in Stuttgart. She has served on the music faculties of La Salle University, Eastern University, and Philadelphia Biblical University. She is full-time Director of Music at Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Abington, PA where she conducts a full range of voice and bell choirs, and is founding director of a new choral ensemble, Musica Concordia.
