Amy Davis is currently a member of the Virginia Symphony, and on the faculty of the Academy of Music in Norfolk, VA and Young Musicians of Virginia in Virginia Beach, VA. A former teaching assistant at the Pennsylvania Governor's School for the Arts, she is also a frequent coach for the Hampton Roads Chamber Players and the Bay Youth Orchestras of Virginia. Amy has performed and studied at the International Musician's Seminar in Prussia Cove, England and is a former member of the Jerusalem International Symphony and the National Repertory Orchestra. She is also a former Talented Students in the Arts Fellowship recipient at the Aspen Music Festival and School, where she served as a mentor to younger violists in the Aspen Sinfonia and Concert Orchestras. Amy earned the Master of Music degree from the Peabody Conservatory as a student of Victoria Chiang and the Bachelor of Music degree from Bowling Green State University. |
