Jon Holland is Music Director of The Pilgrim Academy in Egg Harbor, New Jersey, where he has taught music for the past eighteen years. His responsibilities there include the Concert Choir, Festival and Gateway Orchestras, and the instrumental lesson program. He has also taught French and German on the high school level. In the six years prior to Pilgrim, he taught at Christian schools in Connecticut, Maryland, and New Jersey.
In the early 80’s when he first became involved at Csehy, Mr. Holland played double bass in the Csehy orchestra under the direction of the late Dale Shepfer. This led to his playing with the Christian Symphony Orchestra at PBU, which in turn has led him back to Csehy. He enjoys playing bass again with the orchestra, and either bass or tuba with the band as needed.
