Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Welcome to Csehy Summer School of Music. I trust that as you browse our site, you will catch the spirit and vision of our founders, Wilmos and Gladys Csehy. It was their dream to see young musicians have the opportunity to discover the compatability of muscal excellence and Christian commitment in a relaxed summer camp setting. Since 1962, thousands of young people have fullfilled that dream. Last summer we had campers come from ten countries and twenty-two states to experience Csehy Summer School of Music. They discovered a caring community with similar passions for incredible music and authentic Christianity.
I am excited about the 2010 season, our second year on the campus of Houghton College in beautiful Houghton, New York. Situated about 65 miles southeast of Buffalo, Houghton offers Csehy the perfect blend of a rural retreeat setting and exceptional music facilities. Judjing from the requests for information and from the alumni chatter on the internet, it appears that we can anticipate a banner year.
As you read through the qualifications of our music faculty, you will be properly impressed, but rest assured that you will be even more excited about their love for Jesus and their desire to see young musicians share that passion as well. If you are able to attend one of our weekly concerts, you will hear and feel the love of music and the love of the Creator of music in all of our faculty, staff, counsleors and campers. The concerts are each Saturday afternoon from July 3rd through July 31st. They begin at 4:00 and are free. Come, enjoy youself, and be encouraged with the quality and depth of our campers, both musically and spiritually.
